LEADER Corporation was founded sixteen years ago as a broad based, locally funded corporation to assist in the development of Lander's economic resources. Over the years LEADER has made nearly 50 loans to local businesses, totaling in excess of $500,000, which in turn, have created over 200 jobs and helped stimulate and strengthen our local community.

Over the years, LEADER has gained statewide attention as a model for other communities, as well as being recognized by our state legislature, in formulating new loan programs. A startup loan originating through community programs where neighbors are helping neighbors is a formula for success.
